The Life and Death of Michael Jackson...

No one can deny his talent. He was a musical genius. From composing, to singing, dancing, choreography, etc. The list goes on. His God given talents were many. Who didn't love to hear and watch him perform? His death was untimely, a very talented man leaving this earth before his time. Why?

His life and death can be summed up in one word. Sad. That's right, sad. It is sad when God gives someone such a talent and they CHOOSE to live their life the way he lived it. I always wondered what he was hiding from. Every time you saw him he looked different. He had numerous plastic surgeries. His home looked like it was built for an 8 yr old child. There were allegations of child abuse in his early life from his father. Was he using his money to buy something money can't buy? How can someone make the amount of money he made and die $400 million dollars in debt? I would dare say no one really knew Michael Jackson, not even his family. There was a part of him deep down in his soul that no one knew and all of the money in the world could not fill.

May his life and death, be a lesson to all. Talent, fame and fortune does not make up for what is missing in one's life. For some the wealth just makes the emotional issues worse. They can afford the alcohol, drugs, food, shopping excursions, or whatever they think will make them feel better, but won't change anything on the inside.

Regardless of what he did, he was still human. You will reap what you sow, no matter what the world thinks. They can idolize you and treat you like you are a God, you are not. There is only one true God. I pray the Lord uses Michaels life and death as a teaching tool, a warning to all.

My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

  1. Thank you for posting this, Karen. As we've been swamped on every TV station with 24 hour coverage, almost on Michael Jackson. They are making him out to be a hero almost and he was not. Other than being a cute, precious young boy who could sing and had charm, the rest of his life, by his choice, has not held anything Godly. His choice. We all have a choice and free will to turn to or from God.
